I've been following the discussion on Eddie Ray Hill Jr.'s tragic death and wanted to touch on something that struck a chord with me. The surveillance footage from the Texarkana Aluminum plant has been widely discussed, but I don't think we've given enough attention to how the employees must be feeling. Imagine arriving at work, ready for a regular day, and witnessing such a tragic event unfold in real-time. It must be deeply distressing for those workers who saw Eddie's brave attempt to help Candis, only to watch him lose his life. It's important to remember that while the investigation has wrapped up, the emotional aftermath for Eddie's coworkers is just beginning. I hope they have access to support and counseling during this tough time. Eddie's courage in that moment speaks volumes about his character, and I think supporting those affected by his passing is the best way to honor his memory. My heart goes out to his family and friends, as well as to everyone at the plant. Healing from such an event takes time, but leaning on one another can provide some comfort.
