I've been following the tragic incident in Slanesville and my heart goes out to the families involved, especially to Mr. Bacha's loved ones. I can’t help but wonder about the mental state of an 83-year-old like Robert Shartzer. Having just undergone cataract surgery, it's possible his health and recent treatment might have played a role in his decision-making. Surgeries can sometimes affect a person’s mood and cognitive function, particularly in older individuals. Does anyone have insights on how post-surgery recovery might contribute to heightened emotions or impulsive actions? It's a small community, and it seems these two men—at their advanced ages—could have possibly found another way. Then again, emotions can be so unpredictable. It’s so sad knowing that a simple gesture of neighborly help ended in such a tragedy. Sending thoughts to everyone in that community for healing and understanding.
