Was anyone else struck by the role the community played in the swift arrest of Michael Martin? It's not often you see such a quick response, and I find it somewhat reassuring to know that people are willing to step up and help when it counts. It's a devastating loss for Johnny Slocum's family, and having the community rally together might not bring him back, but perhaps it offers some solace knowing there are people out there refusing to let violence like this go unanswered. I'm curious if anyone in Franklinton can share what the community response has been like since this tragedy, or if there have been any gatherings or initiatives to honor Johnny's memory or address the broader issue of gun violence in the area.
