I’ve been following the case of Markeise Williams, and it’s so deeply unsettling thinking about what his family and friends must be going through right now. My heart goes out to all of them. I’m curious about something: has there been any discussion on why the police haven’t released more about the motive behind this? I understand keeping certain details private for investigative reasons, but it just feels like knowing why this happened could help the community start to make sense of such a senseless act. Were they possibly waiting for more evidence or witness testimonies before saying anything? If anyone has insights into how these investigations typically play out, I'd appreciate it. It must be incredibly difficult for Markeise’s loved ones to face this ambiguity while waiting for justice to be served.
