I came across this case about 6-year-old Nathy Mbuyi, and I can’t stop thinking about how the community must be feeling right now. I read somewhere that Birdville Stadium was usually a place full of cheering fans and happy memories, and now it’s become the site of such a terrible tragedy. It’s devastating that a place of joy could so suddenly turn into a scene of sorrow. My heart goes out to everyone connected to this—especially the students and staff at Cheney Hills Elementary. I hope they can find some comfort in the support of each other and the resources being offered. It makes you think about the importance of nurturing safe spaces for our children. What has been done to support the community there in past situations like this? Any ideas on how we can extend some love and solidarity to those affected?
