It's truly difficult to even imagine the pain Dawn's friends and family must be going through, knowing her case hasn't been resolved after all these years. I recently came across some discussions about the rising use of forensic genealogy in unsolved cases. It definitely offers a glimmer of hope for getting new leads when traditional methods have hit dead ends. Given that Dawn's case has DNA evidence still held by police, I wonder if this tech could be applied here? It’s brought justice to several cold cases lately, and perhaps Dawn’s family could finally get some answers and closure. Anyone know if there have been any moves towards this method yet in her case? Would love to hear thoughts or updates from anyone familiar with developments in this field.

Has anyone else been following the interviews with Dawn's friends from SUNY Plattsburgh? It's been over three decades, but you can still hear the pain in their voices when they talk about her. I found it particularly poignant when one of them mentioned how Dawn was planning an art exhibition with her favorite pieces. Makes you think about all the potential and dreams that were just lost. I hope that someday we get the answers we need, not just for justice, but for some peace for her loved ones. If anyone remembers anything from that night, even small, it might be the key to finally closing this case. Let's hope she gets the justice she deserves.
