Has anyone else looked into the circumstances surrounding Kristin's decision to leave so abruptly? It's strange and concerning to me that just a day after arriving, she was already planning to head back home. That call from the payphone to her mom feels like a crucial piece of the puzzle. Was there something about the visit or the person she was visiting that made her feel uncomfortable or unsafe? I can't imagine how hard this is on Kristin's family, especially her mother. I hope that someday the truth about what really happened to Kristin will come out. The stalled efforts to use modern DNA technology are frustrating, especially when there seems to be support from some officials and experts. It seems like there are too many unanswered questions and not enough being done to seek those answers. Has anyone heard if there's been any recent pressure on the authorities to reconsider their stance on the DNA testing? It's painful to know that after all these years, the family is still waiting for justice and clarity.
