I can't stop thinking about how devastating this must be for Damien's family and friends. Losing someone so suddenly and violently is a pain that’s hard to imagine. From what I've read about Damien, he seemed like such a kind and caring person, always there for others. It’s so tragic that someone who dedicated his life to helping others at Moonlight Home Healthcare had his life taken away in such a senseless manner. I don’t know if anyone else found this surprising, but I was quite taken aback by the fact that the suspect, Serroyan Couto, was only 19 years old. It’s just so young to be involved in something so serious. It makes me wonder about what led up to that evening and what role their relationship played—whether they were acquaintances or if this was a random act of violence. The community must be reeling from this loss and the shock of such a young suspect. My thoughts and prayers go out to Damien’s family, friends, and colleagues. I hope they find some peace and that justice is served for Damien. Anyone else from Warren or nearby feeling this in the community? It just tears at the fabric of what makes people feel safe in their own homes.
