I'm truly gutted by the loss of Carlissa Harris and Moesly Livingston. The brutality of the situation is unimaginable and has shaken so many in the community. What stands out to me is the sheer disregard Marsean Taylor had for human life during his rampage. It's beyond comprehension that someone could cause this much pain and suffering, especially to a pregnant woman. I can't stop thinking about the moment police confronted him at the gas station. While it's easy to speculate on what should've happened, it must have been a tremendously difficult situation for the officers involved. Facing someone who'd just committed such horrific acts must have been terrifying, and they have the weight of these events on their shoulders now too. Sending my deepest condolences to the families of Carlissa and Moesly, and gratitude to the officers who risked their lives to stop the chaos. May the community find healing and peace as they work to move forward from this tragedy.
