I've been following the case of Alonzo Johnson, and I can’t help but wonder about the community's response to the tragedy. Alonzo was a neighbor and friend to many in the building on South Drexel Boulevard, and I'm curious how everyone living there is coping after something so violent happened so close to home. It's terrifying to think about how quickly an argument can escalate to something so devastating. I hope the residents are leaning on each other for support through this difficult time. The fact that the shooter was someone who lived in the building makes it even more unsettling. I can't imagine how it feels to live with that uncertainty and fear. Has there been any increased security around the complex or community meetings to address everyone's concerns? Thoughts and prayers go out to Alonzo’s family, friends, and neighbors. Let's hope the person responsible is brought to justice soon, and the community finds some peace and healing.
