Has anyone looked into the significance of Gary’s dog being found tied up at the convenience store? It seems odd to me. Was this a place Gary visited often, or was it just random? I'm wondering if it could provide any clues about his state of mind or if he had plans to meet someone before he disappeared. Also, why choose to leave the dog there specifically? If Gary was experiencing disorientation from his PTSD or memory issues, this might have been an act of care or a sign that he didn’t intend to be away for long. There has to be more to it than what meets the eye. If anyone in the local area remembers anything about the dog or if Gary interacted with any staff or customers at that store, it might help fill in some gaps in the timeline. Thoughts?
Did anyone else find it strange that Gary's dog was found tied up at a convenience store? I mean, if he was planning to disappear intentionally, why would he take his dog with him and then leave it behind? It's almost like he had a change of plans or maybe even met someone at that spot. Dogs are pretty loyal, and if Gary was as family-oriented as people say, it feels out of character for him to just leave the dog like that. It makes me wonder what happened between the time he left the voicemail and where his dog was found. Does anyone know if the convenience store had security cameras back in 2003? That might've been helpful in understanding what happened around that time.
Has anyone else looked into the significance of the area where Gary's vehicle was found? Loraine, Illinois, seems like a pretty specific location for the car to end up, especially since it's quite a distance from where he initially disappeared in Aledo. Was there any known connection Gary might have to that area, or was it just coincidence? The fact that the vehicle was found burned also raises so many questions. Who would go through the effort to set it on fire, and why? It's frustrating how little information is available, but sometimes these details can be crucial. If anyone's from the area or knows more about it, any insights would be appreciated!
