Hearing about Jacob Wesley Cook's tragic death has really shaken me. I can't stop thinking about the atmosphere inside that home on Olive Street before everything went south. Can you imagine being there when gunfire erupted, in a space where you normally feel safe? It's hard to fathom what those moments must have been like for Jacob and how his family is dealing with this unreal sorrow now. I hope they find some peace as the investigation unfolds, and that we eventually understand why this dreadful event happened. My heart goes out to his loved ones and everyone affected in Vernon. It’s stories like these that remind us how fragile life truly is and the importance of community support in times of such overwhelming loss.
