I’ve been following Pierre Smith's case closely, and I'm troubled by the sheer senselessness of it all. It’s not just that a good man was lost—he was a beacon for many in Milwaukee. I keep thinking about how the community will miss his uplifting spirit at his barbershop, a place he turned into so much more than just a place for haircuts. What really gets to me, though, is how this entire situation could have been avoided. The fact that Fred Shabazz was still out on the streets despite his history is unsettling. There's a broader issue here about how we manage repeat offenders and what more can be done to protect people like Pierre. Do any locals know if there have been any community meetings or vigils held? Sending love to Pierre’s family and everyone affected. Let's keep his legacy alive. ?
