I can’t even begin to imagine how Elias's family and friends must be feeling right now. It's so devastating when such a young life is lost, especially under these circumstances. Given how the police are handling this case with limited information, I’m just wondering if this means it might have involved other kids. The family describing it as a “tragic accident” makes me think that maybe it wasn’t intentional? Maybe a group of kids hanging out and something went horribly wrong? I feel for everyone involved, and I hope answers come soon for those grieving Elias and for the community trying to make sense of this. The support from friends and neighbors through the GoFundMe and other gestures shows how close-knit the community is, but I know they must be desperate for more clarity on what happened that day.
