Has anyone else been haunted by the unsettling coincidence of Choncy's murder happening so close to a police substation under construction? It's hard not to ponder if this could've inadvertently contributed to a false sense of security that day. It hits me hard thinking about how we expect safety in certain areas, and yet, violence can encroach anywhere, leaving no space immune. My heart goes out to Choncy’s friends and family; I can’t imagine the pain of losing someone in such a random act of violence so close to what should be a symbol of protection. Hopefully, more light will be shed on this case, and those responsible will be brought to justice. We owe it to his memory to keep discussing these issues, prompting awareness and hopefully inspiring any witnesses to speak up.
