I just wanted to share a thought about the two young people who witnessed Steven Lantigua’s shooting and how quick they were to call 911. It takes a lot of courage and presence of mind to step up like that in such a terrifying situation. Those kids did everything they could to help, and I can't imagine how tough it must be for them to have witnessed something so tragic. Their quick action might offer some comfort to Steven's family, knowing he wasn't alone in those moments. We often talk about the horror of these crimes, but I think it's important to also recognize the bravery and humanity that can emerge in response to them. I'm holding Steven's loved ones in my thoughts, and hoping for justice and healing for all involved.
