I’ve been following the tragic events of the quinceañera shooting and I can't stop thinking about the devastating impact this must have on the families of Serjio Adrian Segundo and Cristian Segundo Garcia. It’s painful to imagine such a joyful occasion turning into a nightmare for everyone involved. One aspect that really bothers me is Andres Carrasco-Sanchez's apparent ease in leaving the party, retrieving a gun, and then returning to commit such a brutal act. It's terrifying to think that someone could have such a complete disregard for life based on a perceived slight. What’s even more troubling is that he shouldn’t have had access to a firearm in the first place due to his prior conviction. My heart goes out to the Segundo family, as I can’t begin to understand the sorrow they must be feeling right now. It’s a reminder of how important it is to cherish our loved ones and to support one another, especially during such challenging times. Hopefully, justice will be served and the families can somehow find some sense of peace eventually.
