I've been following the tragic events in Montgomery over that violent weekend, and I'm particularly struck by the shooting that claimed Andre Smith's life. It's so senseless and devastating to see yet another family thrust into grief with no answers. The fact that it's been months and there still hasn't been an arrest or identified suspect in Andre’s case is incredibly frustrating. I can only imagine what his loved ones are going through, desperately waiting for justice and some kind of closure. It's especially concerning to hear that this wasn't an isolated incident, with several other shootings happening that same weekend. Was it a rise in crime or something else at play in the city that we might not be aware of? It feels like there’s so much left unanswered, and in the absence of more information, the community is left grappling with fear and uncertainty. My heart goes out to Andre's family and friends. They deserve to know who did this and why it happened. I truly hope that more information comes to light soon, and that the authorities can find the person responsible for taking Andre away so senselessly.
