Does anyone else find it deeply troubling that an event meant to celebrate new life ended in such a tragedy? I can't stop thinking about how easily this could have been avoided. From what I've read, people noticed Garcia was carrying a gun much earlier in the evening. I keep asking myself, why didn’t anyone step in sooner to de-escalate things or call the authorities before it got out of hand? It’s so sad to think that Alexa’s family has to endure this terrible loss because of something that might have been preventable. Honestly, the presence of firearms at a family gathering with kids around is alarming on its own, but to have it escalate to this level? My heart goes out to Alexa’s family and friends. This definitely serves as a painful reminder of how quickly things can go wrong. I hope those involved are getting the help they need to process the trauma of that night and that justice is served for Alexa and her loved ones.
