I've been following the tragic incident involving Deputy LeMay, and my heart goes out to his family, friends, and the whole community of Wister. Losing someone in the line of duty is always devastating, and it really makes you think about the everyday risks these officers take to keep us safe. One thing that's been on my mind is the preparation and support for law enforcement when they face situations like this. I keep wondering if there's enough training or resources available to help officers manage such volatile and unexpected confrontations. It's clear from what happened to Deputy LeMay and Wister Police Chief Andy Thompson that even routine checks can escalate with little warning. I hope this tragedy leads to some changes that might help prevent such a loss in the future. Deputy LeMay's death is a stark reminder of the constant threats law enforcement faces, and I hope his sacrifice will inspire improvements in officer safety protocols. My sincere condolences to everyone affected, and thank you to all the officers who continue to protect and serve despite the dangers they face every day.
