It's so hard to comprehend how something like this could happen in a community like ours. I didn't know Peg personally, but her passion for education and uplifting those around her was something we all felt. I've heard from several parents how much she positively influenced their kids' lives during her time as a principal. It's just devastating to think about the students who won't get to benefit from her guidance anymore. There's been a lot of talk about the challenges she faced while separating from her husband, but I hope that people remember her for the amazing educator and community leader she was, not just how her life ended. To those who knew and loved her, you’re in my thoughts. It's clear she left an important legacy behind.
