I've been thinking a lot about Martha Odom and the moments leading up to the tragedy. It breaks my heart to imagine that just a short time before the shooting, she was probably enjoying burgers and laughs with her friends, soaking in one of those sunlit teenage days that are meant for good memories. Martha's accomplishments, like leading the soccer team and editing the school paper, speak volumes about her character. I've read that she had an upcoming dance recital she was beyond excited for. Her energy and dedication must have been so inspiring to those around her. It's just so troubling to imagine how a place as ordinary as a mall food court could become a setting for such chaos. I can't help but think about the other kids who were there. How do you process something like that happening in front of your eyes? I'm hoping the ongoing investigation can bring some clarity to them and a measure of peace to her family. Given how diligently they're pursuing the second suspect, it seems like they are really committed to justice. Let’s hope they find this other person soon and that the community can rally around all the affected families.
