Has anyone else been following the aftermath of this incident at Niki's Quick Six? My heart really goes out to Jessica Hilliard's family during this incredibly difficult time. It's always hard to make sense of such violence, especially when someone loses their life trying to help others. Rebecca Boston, the bartender who was critically injured while attempting to break up the fight, did something incredibly brave. It makes me wonder why more people aren't trained or prepared to de-escalate situations like these, especially in environments where tensions can run high. I hope she recovers quickly, and both the victims and their families find some form of healing. It also seems the community could use more awareness around conflict resolution. Such a tragic event might remind everyone to think twice about getting involved in altercations and how to do so safely.
