Hey everyone, I've been doing some reading on Ian Foster's case, and something that's been on my mind is the role of social media in missing persons cases, especially back when Ian disappeared in 2005. I know today we have everything at our fingertips and news spreads like wildfire, but back then, it was so different. From what I gathered, the Florence community really came together to raise awareness on platforms that were available at the time. It just makes me wonder how much more could've been done if today's social media tools were available. I mean, we've seen some cold cases get fresh eyes and even breakthroughs because they caught attention on larger online platforms years later. For Ian's case, his family has really tried to keep his story alive through the years, which is crucial. I'm crossing my fingers that maybe someone who knows something through the grapevine will finally come forward. Does anyone else think that increased social media presence could potentially lead to more breakthroughs in cold cases like Ian's? Curious to hear your thoughts!
