Has anyone else been thinking about how this case highlights the dangers of online transactions? It's absolutely tragic what happened to Darby Marmillion, and my heart goes out to her family and friends. She was just trying to make an honest transaction, and to think it all started with something as simple as selling vape pens. It makes me wonder how many of these meetups happen every day without any issues and then, sadly, one turns fatal. What really gets me is how this meeting would have seemed so normal under different circumstances. Meeting at an apartment complex, something people do all the time, yet this time it ended in such a senseless loss. It makes me want to remind everyone, especially younger folks, to be extra cautious with these online arrangements. Has anyone heard if there will be any efforts to raise awareness or improve safety for these kinds of exchanges in Baton Rouge after this?
