Hey everyone. I'm just trying to wrap my head around the increased gun violence happening in places like Birmingham. It's just so senseless when a person as beloved as Brionn Orr can be taken from his family and friends over something that should never have escalated to a deadly level. Reading about him has really made me reflect on how important it is for communities to have better access to conflict resolution resources. It's clear from the news and the snippets shared here that Brionn was a genuinely good soul, known for being funny and hardworking, and losing someone like that affects not just his immediate circle, but really everyone who can relate to his story. It makes me wonder what more can be done on a community level to prevent these tragedies. Any thoughts or ideas on how we can push for more non-violent solutions or education in our neighborhoods? It just feels like something has to change to stop these utterly preventable tragedies. Thank you for letting me share this.
