I've been following the tragic case of Richard Carter, and there's something chilling about the suspect fleeing on a Citi Bike. It's such a stark contrast to the violence of the act itself, almost surreal. It makes you wonder about the suspect's mindset and why they chose such a method of escape. My heart goes out to Richard's family and friends, especially given the context of attending a funeral. The whole community must be grappling with the shock and fear this has caused. I hope the investigators can track down leads from the bike rental records or any nearby surveillance footage. It’s frightening to think that someone capable of such a calculated act is still out there.
