I’ve been following the news about the tragic incident at The Bentley apartments, and something that concerns me is the safety of the area where this double homicide took place. It's alarming to hear about gunfire erupting in what should be a peaceful residential area. It makes me wonder about the security measures in place at the complex and whether the residents feel safe. Has there been a history of violence or incidents in that part of northeast Dallas, particularly around Audelia Road? My heart goes out to the friends and families of Ethan Dillard and Mardreus Ward. I can’t imagine the pain they must be going through right now. It’s deeply disturbing to think about how quickly life can change due to such senseless violence. If any local residents are here, I’d appreciate hearing your perspective on the area and what might be done to prevent this kind of tragedy in the future. Stay safe, everyone, and let’s hope the police get some leads soon.
