Hey everyone, I came across something intriguing while looking into this case. I read a bit about the environment she was left in and couldn’t help but think about how tough it would’ve been with those conditions. Being left under a tree with only blankets and jackets makes me worry about exposure to the elements. Does anyone know what the weather conditions were like in that area around April 2006? I’m curious if it could have impacted her ability to move or even call for help. Any insights?

Did anyone else notice the oddity in the timeline of Maria's disappearance? Reports suggest she went missing sometime between April 10 and April 21, 2006, but there seems to be no consistency in the sightings or details between those dates. I find it baffling how her exact last known whereabouts aren't pinned down, considering the travel she undertook. It makes me wonder if there were other people traveling with her who might have more insights into what happened. How did she end up being left behind, especially with a young child in tow? The situation raises so many questions about the factors that led to her becoming distressed on that journey northward. Wondering if any locals from Altar have come forward with information since that's where her journey began. It feels like piecing together a puzzle with so many missing parts.

Did anyone else find it odd that no one recalls seeing her in any nearby towns between 4/10/06 and 4/21/06? It seems like someone would have remembered a woman traveling with a young child during that time. Also, has there been any confirmation on whether she was reported missing by anyone before or after she was left behind with her son? It’s unsettling that such a significant gap in the timeline exists.
