I can't stop thinking about the impact this must have had on Zoey's school community. SLAM Atlanta Charter must be reeling from this loss. Having worked in schools before, I know how tight-knit they can be, especially with young students like Zoey. Her classmates and teachers are probably trying to process this tragedy, and it's just unimaginable for children that age to comprehend. I hope the school is providing counselors and support to help them navigate through this difficult time. My heart goes out to Zoey's friends who now have to cope with losing their buddy far too soon. It's crucial that both young and old have the support they need to grieve and remember Zoey for the joyful child she was.
