This case has really shaken me, especially thinking about Maria's final moments and how utterly terrifying it must have been for her. What I can't wrap my head around is how Eduardo and his girlfriend just took off after the shooting and didn’t report it. I mean, I get that people panic and make bad decisions in the heat of the moment, but to not alert anyone? That's just so hard to understand. I wonder what kind of pressure or fear they were under, and why they felt they couldn't come forward immediately. I hope they find some way to make peace with themselves and do right by Maria's memory. It’s a tough situation, and my heart goes out to Maria’s family. They’re going through such an unimaginable time right now.
