Does anyone else feel an intense sense of frustration about how this tragedy could have been prevented? I can't wrap my head around how Ashley, a young mother with her whole life ahead of her, died in such a senseless way. From everything I've read, it seems like there was no villain here—not in the conventional sense. But isn't there a shared responsibility when it comes to securing firearms, especially with kids around? I can't even begin to imagine the overwhelming grief and guilt that Ashley's family, particularly her young son, must be carrying right now. Do we know if there has been any movement towards spreading more awareness or education regarding gun safety in Memphis after this incident? It's just maddening how one moment of oversight can lead to so much pain for everyone involved. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved Ashley, and I hope that somehow, through dialogue and awareness, we can work towards preventing these accidental tragedies in the future.
