This case is absolutely devastating. The tragic loss of Codey Antoine Garrard has left a hole in the hearts of his loved ones and the tight-knit community around Edgemere Court. I was reading about how the neighbor was playing a video game when the argument started—can you imagine thinking it’s just another night only for it to end in such a violent and senseless way? It’s terrifying to consider how quickly things can escalate from a verbal disagreement to a barrage of gunfire. The fact that a bullet went through the neighbor's window also highlights how dangerous this situation was for everyone nearby. This could have easily had more victims, and I'm grateful it didn't, but deeply saddened by Codey’s loss and the impact on his family. I really hope the police can gather enough information to bring some justice and closure to those grieving. If anyone around Indianapolis knows anything, please come forward. This community deserves answers so they can begin to heal. Sending my thoughts to all who were affected and hoping for a swift resolution.
