Did anyone else find it chilling how Bundy was able to blend in so easily at Lake Sammamish with all those people around? It's haunting to think about how effortlessly he manipulated those around him with his fake injury ploy. I keep wondering if any red flags were overlooked at the time. The fact that Denise was so compassionate and trusting might have made her an easier target for someone like him, which is incredibly tragic. Her willingness to help others was such a beautiful quality, and it's devastating to think it was exploited by someone so evil. It really makes you wonder what protective measures we can teach, without compromising that vital kindness and empathy.
