I can't stop thinking about Susan Rancourt's story and how incredibly smart and driven she was at such a young age. I mean, she was not only excelling academically but also working two full-time jobs to support her education, which shows so much dedication and resilience. It just makes her loss even more profound. Something that really hit me was the discovery of her remains on Taylor Mountain. It must have been such a devastating moment for her family, both providing answers but also reinforcing the tragic reality. Knowing that she was one of many victims is just so distressing. It reminds us that each of these women had vibrant lives and futures cruelly taken from them. I can't help but wonder about the emotional toll on her family both then and even now, as time goes on. They had these joyful, proud moments with Susan, and then to have it all vanish so senselessly is unimaginable. My heart goes out to them, and I hope they have found some comfort and peace all these years later.
