I'm deeply troubled by the recent tragedy involving Antionne Deshawn Jacob Alexander. One aspect that's really been on my mind is the location of the incident. It's so disconcerting to think that this happened right near Contra Costa College. I can't even imagine how students and staff are feeling, knowing something so violent occurred so close to their educational space. It must be unsettling to have that kind of danger touch a place meant for learning and growth. The fact that the area around San Pablo Avenue was closed to traffic for the investigation shows how seriously the police are taking this, but it also highlights just how impactful the crime scene must have been. It makes me wonder if any of the students or locals witnessed anything that could be crucial to catching whoever is responsible. Sending thoughts of strength to Antionne's family and friends in this difficult time, and hope the community can come together to help bring some answers.
