This case really hits close to home. I’ve been thinking about how terrifying it must have been for the 17-year-old companion trying to get help after the shooting. The pressure of trying to navigate to the hospital while both of them were gravely injured must have been unimaginable. It’s only by some miracle that they made it to a place where they could call for EMS. This whole situation is a stark reminder of how quickly life can change in an instant. I can't even begin to imagine what their families are going through, especially Damon’s family. Nobody should have to endure such pain. Hopefully, as more details come to light, justice will be served and those responsible will be held accountable. If anyone knows something, please reach out to the authorities. It could make all the difference for Damon’s family in finding some form of closure. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless act of violence. Stay safe, everyone.
