I just read about the tree planting initiative by the Youth Peace & Justice Foundation in memory of Da'Mar McKinney, and it really touched me. It's a beautiful gesture to honor his life and create a living legacy amidst such a tragic situation. The idea of a tree growing in Mohican-Memorial State Forest as a symbol of peace and remembrance brings some comfort. I hope it offers some solace to his family and friends as well, knowing that others are standing with them in their grief and working towards a future with fewer senseless acts of violence. Has anyone else heard about similar initiatives? I’d love to learn more about how we can support such causes or if others know of ways to contribute to efforts like this.
