Hi everyone,
I’ve been following the Orangeburg case and something that's been gnawing at me is how it all unfolded at Hugine Suites. A university should be a place of education and growth, not fear and tragedy. I can't imagine the atmosphere there now, knowing what took place. It's especially alarming considering this wasn't just a random act; it stemmed from something as commonplace as a marijuana dispute. This makes me wonder about campus security measures, and if there were any warning signs that might have been overlooked.
Terrell's story is gut-wrenching. Being so young, with a life full of promise ahead of him, it's just unimaginable. He was a father to his own twins—what a devastating legacy to leave behind for them at such a tender age. I hope his family finds some comfort in the outpouring of love and support.
The fact that the suspect was out on bond from a previous offense on the same campus just adds another layer of concern. Were there lapses in the system? How can we prevent similar incidents in the future? Even though justice seems to be on its course with Kennedy's arrest, it can't bring back Terrell or Henry. Both families now have to navigate a reality without their loved ones, and my heart goes out to them.
Sending prayers and strength to everyone affected by this senseless act.
Stay safe, everyone.
