The tragic news of Trevon Elmore’s death on Valentine’s Day has left me feeling incredibly disturbed for the St. George community and especially for Trevon’s family and friends. I have lived in a small town myself and know how something like this shakes everyone to their core. I keep thinking about the rapid response of the deputies and emergency responders. They were on the scene so quickly, trying their hardest to save Trevon. It's a reminder of how dedicated these first responders are, showing up in the most distressing moments to do all they can. It must be hard for them too, seeing such tragedy firsthand. I wonder what exactly sparked the quarrel that led to such a devastating outcome. It’s unnerving that the details are still so sketchy, and there’s no word yet on charges or arrests. It’s scary to think that something like this can happen so close to home, especially when we still don’t fully understand the 'why' behind it. My heart goes out to Trevon’s loved ones as they navigate this painful time. I hope they get the answers they need soon. Sending thoughts of peace to everyone affected by this senseless act.
