It's really troubling to hear about Jamal's passing at the Gus Garcia Recreation Center. I was reading up on the case, and something that caught my attention was the location itself. It's usually a community space where families go to unwind and where kids play, and to think about such a violent act happening there is unsettling. I can't help but feel for Jamal's family and his friends who might have thought of the rec center as a safe space. The idea that they were just there to enjoy some time together and ended up in that terrible situation... It's really jarring. Has anyone heard if there have been any additional leads or updates on the surveillance footage? I hope they find the justice they deserve soon. My heart goes out to everyone impacted.
