I've been following the Daniels, WV case, and something about the location strikes a chord with me. The Glade Springs resort, known for its tranquility and lush surroundings, now seems tainted by this awful act. It's hard to imagine such a peaceful place being the setting for such tragedy. It's vital to ask ourselves how the community will recover from this, and what changes might be necessary to ensure the safety of others in similar roles to Mr. Hicks. My thoughts are with the residents and all who knew Mr. Hicks. It's a reminder that even in the safest places, violence can unfortunately find its way in, and we must stay vigilant.
