On the evening of January 27, 2025, Marisol Chavez Figueroa, a 30-year-old Hispanic woman from Santa Rosa, California, was fatally shot in the city's Roseland neighborhood. At approximately 6:50 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting an injured woman on the sidewalk of Whitewood Drive, just north of Hearn Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Marisol Chavez Figueroa unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound to her torso. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
