I was thinking about the impact this tragedy must have had on the community around Charles Hadley Park. It’s so unsettling to know that a place that's supposed to be a safe haven, especially with a senior center nearby, could be touched by such violence. The sound of gunfire ripping through the neighborhood must have been terrifying for residents, particularly those elders who just want to enjoy their evening in peace. I can't even begin to imagine the fear and chaos that erupted in those moments. It’s crucial to address the root causes of disputes like this to prevent them from escalating to such a devastating level. My thoughts are with Qumourie’s family and those wounded in this senseless act, as well as with all the residents who are undoubtedly feeling unease in their own community. Hoping for some answers soon, and for every effort to be made to reclaim peace in the area.
