Has anyone else been deeply impacted by the role reversal we see in so many domestic incidents like this one in Spuyten Duyvil? As a former police officer, Mario would have been someone who once protected the public. It’s so disheartening to see that he could commit such an unthinkable act against his own family. I can't help but think about Maria’s mother – not only has she lost her daughter, but she also has to process the trauma inflicted by her own son. The pain she must be feeling is unimaginable. Situations like this remind us how crucial it is to address mental health and unresolved family issues before they escalate. Sending strength and love to all those affected by this tragedy.
