It's so difficult to make sense of this horrible tragedy in Grand Rapids. One aspect I've been thinking about is the unique bond that Cameron and Michael must have shared as brothers. Losing both of them at such a young age is unspeakably sad. You can imagine them having their own little world, sharing jokes, growing up together, and probably looking out for each other. Having a sibling means having a built-in best friend, and it's awful to think they were taken away like this. My heart goes out to their father and other family members—I can't fathom the pain they must be experiencing right now. This loss reaches far beyond just losing family members; it's losing a lifetime of memories that could have been.
