Seeing this kind of violence unfold in broad daylight is so unnerving. It makes you wonder how anyone could feel safe going about their day when something so horrific can happen out of nowhere. My thoughts go out to Lydell Harton’s friends and family—it must be so incredibly difficult to process such a senseless loss. I'm also thinking about the other person who survived. I can't even imagine the trauma they've experienced. I hope the community comes together to support the families of the victims during this awful time. We often hear about violence in Chicago, but it's important to remember that these aren't just statistics; they’re real people with loved ones who are left to grieve and find answers. Also, does anyone have more information on whether there was any surveillance footage from the White Castle or nearby locations that might help identify the suspects? It’s so essential for the neighborhood that these criminals are found and held accountable. If anyone knows more about community initiatives or vigils in response to this incident, please share! More awareness can hopefully spur someone who knows something to come forward.
