I’ve been following the Harmony Danner and family tragedy in Washington, and I can’t stop thinking about the impact on those who knew them. I read somewhere that Harmony was deeply involved in her local community and had been a lifeline for many of her physical therapy patients. It's eerie to think about how someone so dedicated to healing others could be taken from us in such a violent way.
I wonder how her patients and her extended community are coping right now. They've lost not just a therapist, but a friend and a confidant. I hope they have the support they need to mourn and heal. This entire situation just brings home the sad reality of how complicated and fragile family dynamics can sometimes become. My heart truly goes out to everyone who knew and loved Harmony, Dominick, and their family.
Did anyone else notice how much effort Mackenzie Williams put into maintaining his gun collection? It's chilling to think about, especially considering the temporary protection order that was meant to keep him from having access to firearms after that altercation with his mom. With 53 guns to his name, it's clear that his obsession was deep-rooted. What I'm wondering is how he managed to hold onto them or potentially reacquire them, given the order in place. This might be an example of how gaps in enforcing these kinds of orders can lead to devastating outcomes. Harmony, Dominick, Danielle—none of them deserved this. I can't imagine the anguish the surviving family members must be feeling right now. It's all so incredibly tragic.
