I've been thinking a lot about the role the gun played in this tragedy. Guns at parties are a recipe for disaster, and this case is a grim reminder of that. If only someone had intervened or taken the weapon away earlier, Jorden might still be with us today. It's clear from the witness accounts that Johanson was using the firearm as some kind of party trick, not taking into account the potential consequences. I can't help but wonder how differently things might have turned out if someone had been brave enough to step in, despite the risk. My heart goes out to Jorden's family; no parent should ever have to lose a child this way. I hope they find some peace and that this tragedy serves as a wake-up call about gun safety.
