I was digging through some old news articles about Thomas Estevis, and something intriguing caught my attention. In one of the articles, it mentioned that Thomas's parents had a pretty unstable living situation between the time he was reunited with them and when CPS got involved again. They reportedly moved multiple times, often between different friends’ and relatives’ homes. I wonder if this transient lifestyle made it easier for him to vanish without trace. With them moving around so much, it’s plausible that they slipped through the cracks when certain check-ins or verifications would have typically occurred. Could this constant moving around have contributed to why it took over a year for anyone to notice Thomas was missing? It’s just so frustrating to think that if a system had tracked their whereabouts more effectively, he might have been located a lot sooner.
